Virus Protection "Out of Date"

    Hi,

I use McAfee anti-virus. For last few days the Windows Security Center has been warning me that my virus protection is "Out of Date". However, I've checked and it's still being updated. Why am I getting these warnings?

    Thanks in advance.

might be getting up-dated with other items that apply to this download, but you may not be covered for viruses if it's out of date.

Anyway all you have to do is click onto free virus downloads and you'll get a good anti-virus free on the net.. I actually use a free download called AVAST!, it's free and it's very good!

There are usually 2 types of "up-to-date" with AV programs. One is the application itself, the other is the virus defs. Perhaps there's a newer version of the program they'd like to sell you?
