Just wondering if any of you peeps know of any shops that would take in a D50 Nikon as a trade in?

    Any input appreciated

I know berminghams and conns will, but you will not get much.
You might consider selling it your self on Adverts.ie

Yep, best bet is to sell it privately on Adverts.ie

Good to hear, where are they located? Not pushed on selling it privately, am heading abroad later in the year and happy to hold out.

I think most places take trade ins, because most places sell used gear, like Conns (behind grafton st) and stuff...

Let me know how you get on with that, as I am considering changing mine for another brand.

Another related questions, would they do trade-inns of different brands, for example Sony for Canon, Nikon for Olympus or something like that?

I've traded in cameras and lenses in Berminghams and have gotten prices in the same region, if not better, than the average Adverts price the same gear.
I dealt with Brian and Brian óg and found them grand ... even if they are Rovers fans :p

Most shops will take a trade in of any brand they do / used to sell, regardless of the brand of gear you're thinking of buying. Just make sure it's fully working and you have any bits like charger & cables.

I know... I am sickened, we were getting a fantastic deal from an authorised Nikon dealer when we were in Germany and we couldn't do the trade in since we had brought the travel battery charger and not the original Nikon one. Was absolutely sickened.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Also meant to mention, if you know anywhere in Belfast, will also consider it since we'll be there before we will be in the Capital.
