Sync Time

It's taking longer and longer these days to sync my iPhone 3G with iTunes - typically 3 or 4 hours now. Most of that time seems to be doing the initial back-up phase which just goes on interminably. I've just over 4 GB worth of Apps, most of rest of memory is music but I still have about 2GB of memory free (16GB version). I've tried turning off and on phone fully before syncing but no difference.

Anything I can do to improve sync time?

Problem with your USB connection maybe? Have you tried using a different port?

No, I've tried it from a few different ports and no difference. Also, my iPod Classic with over 60GB of music on it syncs in a matter of seconds from the same port / cable so I suspect the problem is with the iPhone.

    Thanks for the feedback.
