For a project, looking for four cheap 2.5" Serial ATA HDDs, no enclosures needed, ideally 160GB or bigger.

I'm looking on dabs.ie, komplett, etc. but not seeing anything particularly tempting. Seems to be nearly as cheap to buy a portable drive in an enclosure, which can't/shouldn't be right...

Any other suggestions (incl. trusted eBay sellers)?

    To fit in a 2.5" enclosure? :D

the reason I asked is because if you don't need the portability, 3.5" drives are a fair bit cheaper. However a 4 bay enclosure is pretty expensive. If I were you I'd look at alternative 3.5" alternatives which may work out cheaper.

    Always look at alternatives :)

No, I mean I already have four 2.5" enclosures. I'm looking for drives to fit them. Best I can see so far is €40 a pop for Hitachi 250GB drives on Dabs.ie...

Cheers, looks like pretty much the same deal though?
    36.61 GBP = 42.3893 EUR
Yet one can buy 500GB portable storage drives for well under €80...

I got myself two 320GB USB western digital drives in PCworld about two weeks ago for 40Euro each.

Good price. Note that PC World were/are doing a stock reconciliation currently, good deals available for older stock that may not be reordered by them.
