No, once they are deleted it is no longer visible.

I can see no reason to leave it there after it was requested of me to delete it, especially given the direction it was taking with mention of peoples names and businesses that may or may not even be involved with the OP.

Fair enough, but I REALLY hate the precedent this sets. Boards.ie will be forced to shut down if it has to kowtow to every mom and pop operation that decides to start shouting 'slander'.

You know well if an event with such obvious collusion happened on another forum that they'd take these jokers to town.

What could possbily be the legal implications? I read billybigunz post and there was nothing libel within them. I'm not saying anything about the mods, they have to be cautious but what are this PR group claiming?

I imagine the best solicitors are on the case

The MCD case set a precedent whereby if you can't say nice things about a company, product or service; and the 3rd party responsible takes umbrage with this; then you can't say anything at all.

Welcome to Ireland. Where something as clear-cut as the boards charter

boards.ie - a not-for-profit discussion forum, run and administered by a group of dedicated posters who work for free: because they believe in free discussion.

Can be dissected by any company with money who aren't afraid to throw their weight around.

Alan, seriously save face and stop posting. I'd be more concerned with the PR company you have working for you than any comments on here. There's a lot of hustling involved in getting your name as a DJ out there. The original post is so blatant a plug, without the decency to admit what it was, that it deserves nothing but scrutiny.

Sometimes Google lets you see them if you click on the cached tab of your search. You need to type in the thread title and boards.ie in your Google search.

What are you talking about lads, all threads are still visible, and only a small few posts had been deleted, most by a higher up mod. I just removed links and names of original DJ as a precaution, but some came back in and put their own names back into the other thread!

All the posts requesting for the threads to put back up are from last night Colly. I was just making a point that you can sometimes see deleted posts. No need to get flustered!

Ahh right ok! Sorry I maybe some people thought some threads etc were still deleted. Easily done with the confusion, 3 simultaneous threads on the same subject, its fairly mad!
