Hi all,
I've got a '06 Jetta 1.9 TDi Comfortline for just over a year and thankfully so far it hasn't given me a day's bother. The only thing that's bugging me at the moment though is that when I turn on the windscreen heater on the cold setting there's a horrible sour smell (the nearest thing I could compare it to would be damp soot). Any ideas what could be causing it?

Try replacing the pollen filter.
