    Hi,

Yesterday I noticed that engine was not starting as smooth as normal. Was chugging a few times before engaging.
Was worse when I tried to start after work. Also noticed that the time and date on the car went all wonky(back to 2002?!)
This morning it wouldnt start at all. Was chugging and making a really ugly kind of loud clicking sound ?
Have booked it in to have it looked at. Its hardly the battery is it ?
If I try to jump it and it works is that a sign that the battery has died ?
Can batteries just die like that ?
    Its a 2002 Audi A4 1.8T

    Thanks for reading

Local motor factors, they may even fit it for you if you ask nicely :)
Very simple to do if you have the tools, spanner or two and maybe a socket.
