can any one suggest any evergreen groundcover sutable for moist acidic peaty soil which is very wet in winter and gets reasonably dry in summer (when we get one!).

already have bugle which thrives and most of the bog/marginal plants i have are herbaceous and the area looks very bare in winter.

hope you can help me , thanks:)

Gautheria procumbens, wild strawberry (evergreen, pretty and vigorous, and strawberries too!), heather, obviously.

thanks looksee, Gautheria procumbens is a good one but i think it might be too wet in winter for wild strawberry or heather, could give them snorkles tho !:D
