Funding/Loans for Study in UK

Hi, I've gotten a conditional offer for an MA in the UK. The UK's public student loans body doesn't cover EU students and I'm not eligible for any bursaries/scholarships. What is my best option for funding? Otherwise, it's no postgrad for me :(

    Thanks

Taught or research? UK students have it about as hard at postgrad level as there's no centralised funding for them either.

Outside of your individual faculty/school or some kind of research body there isn't much out there for MAs I'm afraid :(

It's taught. I know, it's not looking good at all. Distraught!

I know, it put me off going outside the 32 counties for mine as I could never have afforded it!!!! :(

Maybe ask on thestudentroom.co.uk - they know all there is to know about that kinda stuff.

I'll give it a go, thanks. I think at this stage I've exhausted every option. It's bitterly disappointing, especially seeings as the course isn't offered over here but that's just how it is I suppose.

I didn't want to start a new thread - but I can't get an answer to this. I moved from the north to Dublin when I was around 10, am I eligible for maintenance loans? (undergrad)

Yep, so long as you have been ordinarily resident in the Republic for at least three out of the last five years immediately preceding the date you would start college. You apply to your local council/VEC.
