Toilet Ettiquette

It appears to me that a lot of people in DCU, especially those who frequent the library toilets, are unaware of how to conduct themselves in public cubicles. I have, on too many occations walked into all the cubicles, and immediately leave out in disgust.

I guess the first question i have is, who thinks its fine to relieve themselves of faeces, leave it in the toilet without flushing, and, evidently, not wiping? Where did you people grow up? Thats what i want to know! Are there people walking around the library, sitting on the same chairs as I, after they have not wiped? You're pants dont hold the smell in! Someone should tell you.

why do i walk into cubicles and find toilets blocked up with tissue, where people have clearly took a dump, put tissue on top (why not flush?), for someone to come along and do the same, until the toilet is full, unable to close the lid down due to the urine saturated, crap infested bowl... this is beyond my reasoning.

(WASH YOUR HANDS! I dont want to be touching any door knobs after your behaviour, and I'm sure no girls will be wanting to touch your knob with your carry on)

Watch your aim also! I mean its not too difficult to hit a 0.5m^2 target! I do not want to step, or splash in anyone elses puddles of piss!

Oh, and to the management, please fix the locks on the doors of the cubicles that are broken. Its not that big of a job. I have been in DCU for 4 years now, and cant remember a lock being on thos doors.

So, take this into account people. We are not farm animals...so dont behave like one.

    Yours sincerley,

    Disgusted

Always gonna happen with toilets open to a large amount of people, especially some who mightnt quite be completely mature. People are disgusting, what can I say.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I'd say a good percentage of all DCU students find it difficult to conduct themselves in any area of society, let alone taking a sh1t correctly. Students in general. :D

Ugh, this reminds me of last year when working in the Hub. For some reason every single Friday of that year we had, what we called, the phantom ****ter. Without fail, on a Friday someone would go into one of the cubicles on the upstairs men's toilets in the Hub and, well lets just say, intentionally miss in a certain direction. It was one of the strangest things I've come across in my life. Don't know why, don't know who, just know it was very off putting to come across every time.

When I was DCU I seen a big hole in one of the cubicles beside the toilet roll holder in the Arts Block. Wonder what was going on in there

In the CS building, someone was always throwing toilet roll into the toilet and stuffing it up.

Not toilet trained if you ask me.

Plus big cocks drawn on the walls. What is it with lads drawing cocks on walls in toilets?

    bizarre.

Just avoid the library jacks and go to the ones in the X building beside XG22 I think. There is never anyone there, jacks, sinks and urinals are clean. You also get a nice break with the walk and fresh air going over there. :)

The Henry Grattan jacks are all done up now so you can piss without the constant worry that some small animal is going to jump out of the gutter and bite your balls off.

Shiny, don't be giving away all the good jax. I've got some secret ones I'm not giving up until I'm outta here in August.

I'd love to know who is always wrecking the bog on the first floor in the computing building. I guarentee it's someone from L125. Sick of having to go downstairs when I need a bit of bog roll or don't want to walk around a flooded bathroom.

alot of stuff doesn't compare to having walked into a public jacks before, to see in two of the cubicles, sh!t smeared all over the walls.

    That's sligo for yeh

    All I'm gonna say is:
Nursing Building, ground floor, round the back of the canteen.

It must be usead about twice a year.

it's not a square. πr² would be more apt.

I guess that's the end of all the DCU vs UCD threads.

We really have very little to complain about toilets wise in DCU.
