Can I have a free NCT test please?

    I applied for an NCT test two weeks ago and just got the confirmation letter with a date of June 30yh?

    According to the NCT leaflet and their online charter they say:

    4.Ensure that an average leadtime for an appointment at an individual test centre is less than three weeks with an free test if this is greater than four weeks.

    So has anyone managed to wrangle out of paying for their test based on this and how so?
