Ok, I have 4/5 months off work between contracts. I'm travelling on my own, and I have 10 or 15 grand budget. Any ideas? Thinking New Zealand as I've never been - but seems boring just to fly there - be good just to work my way over. Any ideas?

Are you planning on staying in the one place or moving around? What about an itinerary like Dublin - San Francisco - Australia/NZ - Singapore/Malaysia - Dublin? Then you could really say that you've been around the world.

Nice Round the World Ticket for about €1500 which gives you option of flying East or West! One of the tickets gives you 28000 miles of flying but you can add segments for extra! So you can decide where to go!

    Try this site

If you've never been to the States maybe you should also take a look at New York. It's fantastic. Never been to San Fran myself, but I heard it's good!

If you've that long though I would suggest that you definitely spend some time in the USA.

New Zealand is fantastic. Go anywhere else you want, but don't miss New Zealand - in any season.

You could travel the states- its pretty amazing how one country can be so different and how there are some places that are sterotypically "American". Great craic to be had. As far as I remember you can get a 90 day greyhound ticket for about 600E- A very good way to see the states and give you some experenices that you wouldnt get in New york, San Fran etc.

Have fun where ever you decide:)
