I am looking for opinions of business owners in relation to coupons or vouchers. Based strictly on local business in a small village (say 20 local businesses with a population of 3,000), would you pay to distribute vouchers? There would be one set of vouchers per household. You could...say....purchase 2 vouchers for a set price. There would be an issue of new vouchers each month. The vouchers would be part of a set from the businesses in the area.

Its a good idea, stimulating the smaller local business's in your area as opposed to the Tescos just outside the town!

If I was a local shop keeper i'd go for it!

I looked into a very similar idea a few months ago but decided against it after a bit of research.
My idea was for a group of local shops to offer a discount and then we charge the consumer something like 5 - 10 euros for the book of these vouchers.

The problem was would people pay for vouchers, considering every day discounts are shoved free through the letter box.

i think there is a huge amount of work for little return especially with the printing and distribution of the vouchers.
