Very Exotic (and dangerous) Looking Spider Found

    I found this spider on the patio while cleaning it up this afternoon. It had laid a pretty large, extensive nest inside an old wooden wine box.

    It looks exotic, similar in structure to a black widow, but I think it is larger than a widow and lacks the markings. Also, I'm quite confident it isn't poisonous or anything. I think it may be a similar species to the one that Australian fellow mistook for a redback spider last year in Lexlip:

    Anyone have a decent knowledge of spider species? I'd like to figure out what it is before I unleash it on a gang of toddlers.
