IMRO are asking music bloggers and websites who host promotional Mp3s and videos to pay a license fee for the priviledge. You can read a little more about it here:

Seems like a huge mistake. While it would be understandable for a limited company to be paying such a fee, for an amateur, non-profit, highly beneficial to the artists, website to be doing so is madness. This would also affect the all websites of such nature which are available in Ireland as well, such as Pitchfork, Stereogum, NPR, Gorilla vs Bear, etc. If such a precedent is set, the implications on an international stage are huge, both financially and legally.

theyve been doing that for a while have they not? I know of sites who been asked to take down imro licensed material regardless of having the owners permission or not going back at least 2 years.

Its one thing to be asked to take something down (though it is still a pretty odd thing to do if permission is granted), it is another to have to pay to put anything up in the first place.
