    Well, anyone thinking about it???
I previously would have said I would never do it, but now in this sort of climate, I'd give anything a go!

I would sooner shoot myself dead then you in front of that pompous prick Cullen and explain everything I do. The programme is cringeworthy at best (though it sometimes makes interesting viewing because of it)

    The Rebelmeister could win it.

You're only allowed apply if you're an auctioneer or an "executive".

It'd be interesting to get in just to get into the board-room and have a few pops at Cullen.

If you're smart enough to win the apprentice you're smart enough not to apply.
It's television, not business. Big Brother for IFSC types.

And so many people think having executive in their title means they are top of the pile, i don't think they understand the difference between Chief Executive and Marketing/Sales Executive :p idiots.

Executives are generally pretty low on the corporate ladder.

It would never get aired, but it would be fun to sit in on. I was chatting to a guy who does TV production, and he said that the boardroom scene takes a day to film. Apparently Cullen gets everything completely wrong; every line takes a good few takes.

I would say a "car sales executive" would be just about right for this show. You just know you're going to be flogging Renaults. It's funny seeing the difference between the quality of candidates on the US show and the Irish one.

If you are planning having or already have a decent career this would be career suicide. Its re-edited to make the contestents look like muppets/back stabbers/retards/or Breffnis.

    Or "Company Directors".
Anyone can be one of those. A "Company director" going on the Apprentice means his company has failed miserably.

Because you have about an 8% chance of winning the show but a 100% chance of being made to look like a complete tit on national television. If you do win (and I doubt it's 100,000 in cash), then you're at the beck and call of a man who is supposed to be a prick in real life.

What's so 'career suicidal' about the possibility of earning €100,000 p/a?

You probably havent seen the program if you think its not career suicide.
