Hi with the tag rugby season starting up soon, the team i play with met up in the Pheonix park last night to train. Ten minutes into our game a park ranger (very reasonable fella) walked into the middle of our game told us we need permission to play any organised game's in the park. We told him we were just a bunch of bodies nothing organised just out for a game. The long and the short of it is we need permission to play in the park. It takes up to three weeks to process. Seems to me it's a tad silly that a group of people need permission to play. What if you have a large family can you not play in the park. (the nice ranger let us finish our game and boy do we need the practice):P

And while the park ranger was distracted with you and your friend's game Yogi Bear made off with 12 picanic baskets.

That's why impromptu games are banned in Jellystone.

My tag team train in the phoenix park every week for years. At the 40 acres. Only disruption we ever had was loads of deer running at us once.

He was right! How dare you play sports in the park.

You should be lounging around drinking cans of Bulmers flagons of Druids and should have told him to "**** off buuuuuddddddddd"

Only a group of people playing rugby would call a gotchee a 'Park Ranger'.

    And obey him.

Never ever under esitmate the power of the GOTCHEE some of them carry big torches when pointed straight at your face they can cause blindness and stuff.

The "park rangers" are licensed to carry fire arms, deer culling and nusicance dogs etc so a couple of tag rugby players would look well stuffed and mounted over their fire place

Were you on one of the formal marked pitches ?
We used to practice, with a few more tag rugby teams at the Wellington Monument. ( big monument nearest Heuston Station/Conyngham Bus Depot )
Never had anyone say a word to us in a year.
