Problems with SkyHD case

How Soon Is Now

Ok i upgraded my hard drive yesterday no problems everythings fine problem is the case.

Gettin it back on is a nightmare its driving me insane :mad:
Does anyone have any experience with this i spent couple hours last night trying do it and i really dont wanna end up breaking it its only plastic.

The black casing is not going on fully i can get it on with one side but on other something seems to be blocking it its pain the arse :mad:

Top cover not on right, I would say, had the same issue myself.

The top metal cover of the whole box has to be inside the slots (on the side), if it is outside the cover won't slide on.

Ya thats the thing i noticed since i opened its slighty out a bit at the side when i say slight really slight its just very hard get that metal piece off again.

I dont wanna end up snaping it like.

Ok im at me wits end with this the top metal cover is on right i mean i cant put it on any tighter or any other way.

Im trying to slot the black case back into i can get it right to end with maybe 2 of the tabs clipping on but one is always out of line its like something blocking it but what?

I could spend hours and days at this and dont think get it :mad:

I had this problem as well.

Have a look at this step-by-step guide http://www.stevetowells.co.uk/

Look closely at the 8th picture - lid tilted up at 90 degrees (just about visible on the right-hand side), the tabs slide in from the outer edge. Then lower it down to close and replace screws (7th image).

Ok i got it last night after continuing to try and try only problem is although case is fully on one the tabs aint fully closed and the buttons on top seem to be a bit off.

That and the tv guide seems seriously slow

Ya i was reading threw that yesterday and when it started get slow i was thinking this must be it.

**** i hope dont stay like that cause its annoyin at the moment unless u just use the up and down buttons for channels.

The PSU repair will help with painfully slow EPG - it wont be lightning speed but similar to a Pace Sky+ box.

My box has been very glitchy again lately - lots of failed HD recordings. Turning off Anytime seems to have fixed it for now.

Turning off the mini tv in the EPG and running housekeeping to clean up the drive might also help improve things.

Rumour is that Sky are downloading software for the forthcoming Anytime+ video-on-demand service. Who knows what effects these might be having.

I noticed since i left box off over nite and gave it awhile its running much more smooth now still slight delay but nothing as bad as what it was at first.

Also i have anytime tv turned off since i first upgraded it says it in the settings that its off but still shows the anytime tv shows lol
