Quartz Kitchen Worktop - Do I need to seal it?

The guy who fitted my quartz kitchen worktop says that it has 0.005% porosity (if that's the word) and it doesn't need to be sealed.

    1. Does it?

    2. If it is sealed, will it have more of a sheen/shine that it does now? At the moment it's quite matt and it might be nice to have it a bit more reflective.

    Thanks.

    D.

ps. Moderator, I hope that this is the right thread! :)
