IPhone taking credit

How do i stop my iPhone taking my phone credit when my wifi cuts out? How much does it cost anyway prepay o2?

prepay o2 is 99cent per day up to 50mb afaik
Is this a 2g 3g or 3gs, I never had any trouble with my 3g?
maybe turn push notifications off or update your firmware(what version you on?)

Change your iPhone EDGE settings to something that won't work

Settings --> General --> Network --> Cellular Data Network.

Change them to be something like:

APN: internet1
Username: a1
Password: a1

Try Settings> General> Network> Cellular Data Network and remove the APN setting (should be internet).

Now your phone can't use data from your network but should still make and receive calls!

Simple,

This is what I do.

Settings>General>Network>Cellular data network>set the APN for cellular data network to "off".

Done....

I took it to mean that the OP, for example, was using wifi and someone turned off the wifi hub and he then would be using the data connection on the phone.

Airplane mode would stop that from happening.

I had a similar problem, even when i was in a wifi zone the phone was still taking my credit. Went to the Vodafone shop and they told me to turn off my push notifications, i was being charged throughout the night for my phone checking emails and facebook!! Its great now, my credit lasts longer

Where is this cellular data network option? I dont have that option under network, I just have VPN.

settings-general-network
just turn your push notifications off though as mentioned a few times or at least check what push notifications are set to on

Only options I have there are:

Enable 3G
Data Roaming
Internet Tethering
VPN
W-Fi
