I am starting in W.I.T. in September. I wondered how will I be notified
about when I need to be there and when are booklists handed out?
Is this info provided through the cao? Any advice tips would be greatly
    appreciated.

From what I recall you're notified via letter of the day you have to come in and register. If not, the dates are online towards the end of august.

There's no booklists handed out because the lecturers decide on what books they want you to get, if any. Depending on the course they may just recommend a book for you to get, but it wouldnt be required for the class.
