    Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of the Ailesbury Clinic and the AHI technique they practice there?
Tried shaving the head but it didn't suit and looking at alternatives.

    Thanks

    Hey

OK, so upfront I know nothing about that clinic, hope someone here can help you out with that.

I'm receeding/thinning and the shaved head would def not suit me, even a number 2 all over looked weird.
But I get my hair cut short every 2 weeks, or less - number 2 back and sides and a close scissors trim on top, keeping the hairline very short, neat and even.
It doesnt hide the balding but it somehow makes it look less obvious - not sure why, seems counter-intuitive, but it works. And no where near as severe as shaved head. Think of that guy from the Transporter movie, or Tom Ford the fashion designer.

AFAIK hair transplantation can vary from very good to hideous, but never looks totally natural. Plus, depending on your age, the hair loss can continue after the transplant leaving patchy islands of transplanted hair. Plus you need to get it cut in a certain way by someone trained to do it and pay lots of attention to hairstyle etc - personally i prefer the minimal effort approach .

maybe true years ago, but they have refined the tecnique, it look fairly flawless now. A friend of mine got it done, and you would never notice.

Thanks both of ye. I've done all the variations of cuts but just something I'm consious of, and if there was a solution then why not try it.
kjl - What did your friend have done?

Anybody have any idea how much this costs, I know it depends on how much you get transplanted, but roughly, we talking a grand or a coupla grand?
