Hi anyone here into baseball betting? I like to have a few bets per week mostly on the run lines which can be quiet profitable.

Other than myself there is only one, 8-10, he's a Sox fan too.

I'm sure he'll pop along soon. He's clever enough too.

Yeah I love watching it too but you've no idea how sucky my life has become with this new job I have! I basically have no life during the week and no time to follow baseball at all except the odd weekend game. I'm living abroad in digs with no internet too!

But yeah the last few seasons I've bet per this system - http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055868857

But as you'll see in my thread it died as an idea pretty soon after starting. I still put the odd double on but I'm currently on a work PC and it doesn't support the MLB website even the narrowband version, and betting sites are blocked, so I'm currently in a very annoying situation.

I'd be interested in following a couple of your bets though JONJO....post a couple you put on over the next few weeks if you can and see how it goes.

Well my bet for tonight is Oakland at Tampa. I went for under 8.5 Runs at 20/23 for 46 Eur. My max bet on baseball is 50 Eur.

Nice I like it, both starters with low ERAs so far, Ben Sheets is a great talent. Rays are awesome offensively but A's starting pitchers have yielded three runs or less in 17 of their first 20 games this season. You've done your homework. I wouldn't go putting near that sort of money on but best of luck with it!

Phillies v Red Sox is intriguing. Phillies -1.5 runs @ 5/6 is the most tempting. The best pitcher in baseball is up against a 44 year old veteran who hasn't won a game since June of last year, he's pitching in the place of injured Josh Beckett.

On the face that looks like a sure thing. However if there's anything unpredictable in baseball it's the knuckleball, and Wakefield is one of very very few people in the world who can toss one at Major level. Meaning that Phillies' big hitters will not have faced many of these pitches before. Add into that the fact that Jimmy Rollins has been put on the DL and players like Youkilis and Ortiz are playing very very well for the Sox, means that it'll probably be tighter than stats suggest. Doc Halladay has a 14-14 record against Boston, I'd imagine it's his worst record against any team but I'm plucking that assumption out of the air.

Having said all that it's going to be an intriguing game. Gets underway at 6.35 Irish time this evening. I'm lumping €100 on Phillies -1.5 and I'll be putting money on 1st 5 innings in a few doubles and trebles with Cardinals, Mariners, Yankees and Kansas City.

I bet a good bit on American sports and find them to be very profitable. Especially baseball and American football. Had a great run of 6 nights in a row with winners on doubles at 20 stakes. Rarely bet on the money line unless it's against the favorite. Mostly bet on the overs/unders or run line. 0 runs in the first inning has been a good one for me too.

The below forum can be good for tips.

Sawyer and pimike seem fairly knowledgeable.

Also here can be decent too.

I usually sit out the inter league games. Too unpredictable. Although if i had to i'd go with the NL team if there was a game i liked. Actually the Dodgers RL looks okay. Might put a stake on that in a double with the under in the Padres-Mariners game.

    20 gets 82.50 back.
