You were successful in the ballot for tickets to The 2010 Ryder Cup and you have been allocated the following:

    2 x SAT-SUN GROUND ADMISSION

    Including 1 Junior

    £460.

I've to the 12th of May to decide (have to send off photos).

I only entered ballot in case I wanted to go...now to make a decision

Stupid price for 2 tkts especially when you can see more on telly .Golf is probably the worst sport to attend live its a game that is made for telly.
People should boycott these evente and prices wont be long coming down

I enquired about some Corporate stuff.

10 tickets, for 5 days, £40,000 PLUS VAT

    Ridiculous.

K-Club was nice, but not that nice. And Practise day was best.

I got a ticket for the friday for £100....Dunno do i want it

Its £100 a day at the weekend - I'm going on the saturday.

A bit pricey indeed but if its €85 to see ireland play italy in croke park.....
for a tournament thats once every four years (on our soil) its worth it.

Its £60 to go to the open championship per day so I think £100 is a little pricey but certainly not anything ridiculous.

What do people expect to pay?

For a tournament where, on Friday/Saturday, you only have four matches on the Course at any time, it's dear golf. When there's action, you have extraordinary crowds trying to congregate on a few spots.
Sunday, with 14 matches is a little different, but a lot of games can end up finishing by 14/15/16 holes.

What would ye think about using someone elses ticket? It will have their pic on it. I wonder how strict will they be.

long way to go to Wales to get rejected at the gate - MAYBE if you are with a family member of the person who owns the ticket you might get away with it with a back-up/sob story on why the other person couldn't make it but if there is no connection whatsoever then they could well (probably justifiably) assume it was bought off a tout and turn you away.
I recall them checking the ID's reasonable thoroughly in the K-Club but your best bet is to contact them I reckon.

Suppose it would be a bit chancy allright. The K Club was a bit hit and miss with the id checks, some got a serious checking and some didn't.

The K-club tickets didn't have photo id on the ticket - this year is the first year they've introduced this.
I got 4 tickets for the Friday - really looking forward to attending it.

The K-Club asked you to bring your passport with you to confirm the name on the ticket was actually you. If you had a camera dangling around your neck they took it off you but didn't search as far as I saw.

Gave 4 pic's for the 4 day tickets which were out of focus and distorted and all got accepted. That way if one person can't make it the ticket can still be used.

Once your tickets are real you will be fine.

    Absolutely agree, Gophur.

Got 4 tickets last year in the ballot for the Sat/Sunday as you say they are exspensive so ended up giving them to a couple of friends. I have been to a Pro golf tournaments including the British Open but have to admit I find it very hard to see anything as they hit the ball a mile!!

I was surprised to see that there are still tickets available. I bought a ticket this morning for my brother for the Sunday. I got my tickets in the ballot last year.
