Hi I am currently in the process of writing out invitations for our wedding in July. I want to have the names on the invites in a calligraphy style of writing but am not really sure how to do it myself. Does anyone know of anyone in the Carlow area that can provide this service.

    Thanks.

You can look up images for all letters in calligraphy style if you just google it. Then buy a decent fountain pen, be careful with ink drips but if you or your partner are anyway artisitic or crafty or even just patient you should be able to do them pretty well yourself. Practice each letter a bit before you get into the real invites but its not that hard.

We bought a fountain pen and had a look on google and attempted them but neither of feel comfortable writing out the invites ourselves. I'll have a look on the money saving thread for that post thanks.

I paid 75c per invite to have the names put on them which i found to be fab value as most places i saw at the time were around 1euro per invite. It was really worth the money as they just added to the style of the invites which we made ourselves.

And that was just the invitation?

    You did the envelope yourself?

(I do calligraphy as a hobby and this thread got me thinking! :))
