    As far as I'm aware the only change is that Sky got some of ESPNs games meaning I think they'll only have 20something :) games next seasons. I think ESPN will only be showing the 5.30pm games on Saturday now...no Monday night football from them.

    So your saying sky is getting more next season
    Would you ( or anybody out there) advise me to swap Espn for Setanta?
    Are Setanta gaining or losing any games?

    Thanks again

    Yeah Sky are getting more while Setanta are showing the same amount I think. To be honest I wouldn't get either ESPN or Setanta. I currently have Setanta for €2.99 for 3 months but thats the most I would pay for it. When my 3 months are up, I'll probably cancel it. I watch any game that Sky aren't showing on the net.

    If your only interest is Premier League football then I would swap.

    Is it true ESPN are not reducing their subs charge for next season despite only having half the games they have for this season? If so, are alot of people gonna bother with ESPN when Sky have 5 of the 6 packages?

    What about those who subscribe for sport other than football?

    True. But aren't channels like ESPN (for UK & Ireland) judged on the amount of their football content by an awful lot of people?

    Sky have the Monday night Premier League package for next season. ESPN have lost it.

    I can only speak for myself but I watch a lot more than the Premier League on ESPN.

    I would be keen to keep ESPN for the Italian and German football (in HD too).
    What I do not like is the fact that UEFA Cup Europa League games are blocked on the dish yet can be viewed on cable, forcing dish subscribers to cough up for Setanta to view them. I might unsubscribe for the summer and sign up again in September.

    ESPN = 18 Saturday 5:30 games
    Setanta = 33 Saturday 3:00 games
    Sky = 96 Monday and Sunday games

    ESPN have also got the rights to the FA Cup next year - not great I know but its something. They have also added the Guinness Premiership and NFL to their showings. They have lost the Monday night football but in fairness most of the Monday night games have been sh1t this year anyways. They also have HD which is something Setanta doesnt have. @ €12 a month via Sky its not too bad, not great but just about worth having imo.

    Don't forget ESPN America is also included on that price.

    Hi, do you know if Setanta lost the irish rights to the FA Cup? If not,it may mean the ESPN FA Cup coverage is blocked in Ireland, similar to the Europa League scenario.
