    Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone was passing McDonalds today around half two, all the staff were outside sitting on HMV's windowsill and plain clothes Garda were inside McDonalds talking with what looked like the manager. There were no customers inside either!!!

Just wondering if anybody knows what was going on??

    Limerick restaurants evacuated following bomb-scare

THREE McDonalds restauraunts in Limerick were evacuated this afternoon when gardai received warnings that a bomb had been placed in one of the restaurants.
The warning was phoned to Tralee gardai station shortly before 2pm sparking a major alert across the city.

According to gardai the caller said a bomb had been placed in a McDonald's in Limerick but did not specify which restaurant.

A spokesperson for Henry Street Garda station confirmed that the McDonalds restaurants at O'Connell Street, Castletroy and Dooradoyle were evacuated and searched following the warning.

"The premises were searched but nothing suspicious was found," said Insp John O'Rielly.

All of the restauraunts have since re-opened.

I thought it funny on Facebook this morning when the Limerick Post updated itself by saying the Gardai confirmed this morning they had checked out the Jetland and there was definately no bomb.

They quickly deleted my response saying it was over 12 hours too late.

    It was a Joke FFS!
