I have a Studio 1555 and just bought a new mouse, but the mouse drivers are on a 80mm disc and i dont know if its a good idea to put an 80mm disc into the slot loading drive. So does anyone know if the studio laptops support these discs or should i just search for the drivers online?

No, slot loading drives do not support this kind of disc. Either find another computer or download the drivers online.

You shouldn't have to install the mouse drivers unless it's a particularly fancy mouse (i.e. extra buttons etc) and it might actually conflict with your touchpad software if you do.

But as already mentioned, slot loading drives don't normally take 80mm discs, the only one I've seen that can is on the Wii.
