Release Unused Co2 in mag

Hey all, so I got my lovely Beretta M9, just gave it a few test shots there... Now everythings saying to release unused Co2 to save the o-rings in the magazine..

Everything i've looked at on the net only refers to doing this with green gas type guns (and to leave small bit inside), and i can see it's done by pressing the thing near the top on the back of the mag that the hammer hits to fire a shot.

My question is, is this ok to do with a co2 mag? Reason I ask is Co2 is under so much more pressure then greengas i'm not quite sure what to expect.
I also hear to use a screwdriver to press on it cause the escaping gas will cool it an cause freeze burn your finger while pressing on the yoke..

    Any help appreciated

Your best bet is to just continue firing until empty, to avoid damage to the magazine

    Agreed.

You're looking at three mags tops to empty a powerlet (assuming the pistol is GBB) so it won't exactly take long in any case.

Ah ok. Was trying to avoid too much firing out the back where I am is all. Sure if its the best way.

    Sound, cheers

Go inside to empty it if you're concerned that way - don't be going using it where you can be seen in any case though. You'll just wind up getting us all into hassle.
