    New or used?

Either way I have always liked the look of them, the estates I mean.
Im yet to be convinced by the new common rail engines purely because they are so new and to be honest, I wouldnt be convinced by any manufacturers common rail diesels just yet. The older TDI's are proven workhorses if maintained by the previous owners properly so in my mind the CR engines have a lot to live up to.

They have always seemed very good value, the Superb at least so I assumed the Octavia is as good value.

If its used you are talking to a man in love with the old school TDI.

    Yeah, me likey :)

EDIT. If its the 1.9 and its a new car then I think you have potentially a great deal if the price is right and you maintain it well.
