Vermin drives

Hi All,
My club is looking at doing a vermin to get the fox numbers down and to get club coffers up.
Are there many people on here that have involvement in same…..I probably will go visit a club that have a proven record in getting a high number of foxes by this method.
How much many tails does your club raise and how doers the day pan out, how many guns, how many dogs etc

Normally fox drives in January.

Its a fine balance between number of guns/safety
its a fine balance between number of dogs and frustration. Nothing as bad as sending the afternoon looking for dogs that have took off after a hare etc.

BTW you dont get paid for tails

I know there is no money for tails anymore, but when and why did it stop? Just curious?

Is it because we are not a farming nation anymore??
What happened to ad's like for AAA Golden Maverick, and Albatross N-Rich oh and ad's for tying your dog at night to stop worrying sheep?

Even if your club is in the NARGC and you enter the vermin comp by the time the kitty is divided up you wouldn't be doing it for the money
