Well the first thing you need to do is to go see your GP about it. A lot of skin blemishes/moles are generally harmless and should be easily removed by your doctor either surgically (local anesthetic) or with freezing. Sometimes your doctor may refer you to a skin specialist (dermatologist) or a plastic surgeon to have it removed more expertly or for a second opinion. Generally this can be done publicly (free) in your nearest Hospital or privately by a specialist ($$$).

Hope I've been of some help.

To confirm what Jules.Winnfield said, I have had two moles removed from my back and legs, in each case my GP referred me to a specialist

The first time I came up to see a specialist in CUH to have it removed, the second time I went to the bonds in Tralee to get it dealt with. Both procedures were surgical and preformed under a local. I was in and out the door in under an hour in both cases, procedure itself was painless due to the anesthetic and it was a bit tender for a few days afterwards.
