    hi all,
    if you purchase the windows 7 upgrade pack are you only allowed a single upgrade with that pack?

    if you purchase the windows 7 upgrade pack are you only allowed a single upgrade with that pack?
    All windows machines need a unique license.

    Unless the box states categorically that it allows you to install on 3 family PC's then it's only for one machine at a time.

    Also if the copy of windows you upgrade is OEM / Pre installed , then you can't every use that upgrade on any other PC , ever. This is because the OEM poisons the upgrade such that it too lives or dies with the motherboard.


    If you upgrade a transferable license (they are rare enough) then you may MOVE that license to another machine, but you would probably have to phone up if the online serial number activation fails.
