    Far too expensive!

You could buy everything you need for less than 250 euro, in fact that would be with a better receiver! Even if you didn't already have a Sky dish and Irish aerial and had to pay for someone to fit it you'd be saving at least 150 euro maybe more!

Take the time to educate yourself by reading this and the Terrestrial forum, a few hours reading will save you a lot of money!

Thanks for your advice, if you have a few spare minutes, would you be able to advise me of what exactly I should buy and where, to be equivalent to what is on the above link. Also is it essential that I have a HD TV?

Receive RTE channels in HD? and 300 channels from Freesat HD service.

There are 3 HD channels currently receivable with this receiver and none of them are the irish channels.

Only BBCHD and ITV1HD are worth while FTA HD channels, so not essential for you to have a HD TV yet. All of the other 300 or so channels are in SD and only about 30ish or less worth watching.

The whole thing is very Misleading and way too Expensive. The mvision is not a branded freesat box and probably needs retuning every few months and none of the Irish channels are in HD they are only testing in digital at the moment also TV3 is not available yet and as a previous poster said that their is roughly 30 channels worth watching out of 300

Misleading in many ways. There is no such thing as a digital aerial. If you already have an aerial that is in relatively good condition you may save yourself even more money. If you live close to a transmitter an indoor aerial may suffice for Irish DTT.
