New To Gambling - Which Site?

    Hi guys

I'm looking to open up an online account and was wondering what everyones experiences are with bookmakers such as paddys? boyles? ladbrokes etc

I would tend to punt quite a bit of Football (english and irish) and the odd time on horses.

I'm just looking for a site thats fast/reliable/easy to use and offers decent in-running betting facility where I could see the match develop live, and I dont have to go off and look at other sites or the teletext to find the latest score?

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Bob2oo7

I've said it before and i'll say it again, Bet365 is far superior to anyone else. I've tried them all, and Bet365 are the best. If you back football they're very competitive odds-wise. If you back long shot horses or anything 5/1 + you'd be better off using Betfair also. After the commission their prices on horses are brilliant usually, apart from on short priced favs sometimes.

Bet365 have a great in-running facility also. Better than others i've used. Simple, and easy to you. Great €200 sign up bonus too based on how much you gamble.

I havent gotan account with them, but I can vouch for their prices. The tend to be the best. Paddy Power conversely are the worst for prices.

The price should be the most impoprtant thing when opening an account. Although you can deposit and withdraw in shops with PP BS and some others which can be very useful if you want gambling off your bank account

Yeah bet365 for me too, they are the by far the best, easy to deposit and withdrawals are in your bank account within 2 days

People are tricked by the flashy adverts and colours that they use, silly money back things etc. Whereas they are probably one of the worst bookmakers odds wise. Which is one of the only thing that matters for me. Bet365 are easy to deal with, lots of free bets and speedy withdrawals whenever you're lucky enough to make one! Only a €5 minimum deposit also which is handy for smaller time punters.

I agree with bet365, best ive used bar betfair.

    in a nutshell.

Use betfair for golf and horses
    Use bet365 for short prices.

If you are serious about betting a lot though i would have as many accounts as possible and use oddscheckers as you could get up to 20% more or so on your money betting this way.

Set up as many accounts as you can. Bet where you get biggest price on whatever selection.

If you only want 1 account I'd say Bet365.But prob best to take a couple of days pick one match each day that in future you might have an interest on that comp and compare the odds on oddschecker for the particular match. You'll get a clearer picture of different firms odds and might make it easier for you to choose

    Another vote for 365.

Although I would probably just open a moneybookers account instead and have fun taking advantage of all the sign up offers available.

Made the switch to bet365 aswell without a doubt the best of the lot of them that ive used, also only takes a day or so to withdraw funds back to laser card, not too sure about credit cards but fairly quick withdrawl to laser

Bet 365 are the fastest to shut you down in my experience.

When you open your account- I can only speak for horses- they will lay you anything to lose £3k, then £1k, then pennies.

I use paddy power for poker and gambling. It is easy to deposit and withdraw funds and they take laser. I have details of sign up bonus on my blog if interested.

    Agree with all the above.

Joined Bet265 a fortnight ago, by far the best bookies so far (probably helps that I'm winning :P )

Bonuses up to €200, which is unreal if you ask me.

Bet365 all the way, and xPyro, you should really be getting paid CPA for the amount of times you've promoted Bet 365 on this site :P haha

Come on guys, Betdaq is my fav site, why? beacuse unlike betfair they dont have a Preuim charge:mad:, Bet 365 :D yeah that right bet $3.65 and win and they will ban you.

Betfair - site is a piece of crap to use, you would think they have money to invest

PP - site is very user friendly, disgraceful for live betting, are well known to accept bet when odds go greater than selected price and deny bet when odds shorten

Get an affiliate account up and running Pyro and I'm sure you'd get a few lads joining, especially on the detailed advice you're giving. Would make you a few bob :)

Actually, after the LC (Yes I'm only a Leaving Cert student :D) I'm setting up a betting site where previews, tips and other ****e will be available.
I know it's a very competitive place but I fancy my chances of getting a decent following as I've done with my other site :)
I'd certainly be interested in you writing for the site once it's up and running? :)

Yeah probably would be a good idea! But i don't like people posting affiliate links so i'll not start it either. :pac:

I'm not much older than you i'd assume! I'd be very interested. Would be good fun and certainly help me improve my gambling. There are a few people here who i reckon would be also very good. Could be an extremely interesting proposition. You on MSN Doocey ?. PM me your address if you are.

Yeah, I think there's a few lads here that could be serious 'tipsters' , especially from what I've seen of late.

I am on MSn but my computers is as slow as Christmas, built it myself haha.
You on Gtalk? Way better me thinks. :D

i love the paddy power site myself and i guess if you guys say the prices
with bet 365 are better then thats where you should be going
i think pp is the nicest site to use though and ive gotten money
back on horses which have refused to race (twist magic) where
other bookies just quote you a sections of the rules of racing
when you ask them for a refund

I was thinking about this, and it will have to be an Irish bookies. So I can deposit/withdraw from the shops

What options do I have, Paddy Power/Boyles/Ladbrokes/Bar One are all in my town.

I like Boyles shops... not sure about their site though

    boyles site is a nightmare
their new site is even worse
a couple of saturdays in the past month especially
grand national day the site went down
the usual solution every time i email is to ring fone a bet..
fook that...i bet online for a reason and i dont want to be
    ringing up placing small bets
in all the times ive emailed them about the site this is their only
response and theyve never even offered me a free bet.
I've been betting with them for years and haven't placed
a bet with them since the national so good riddance to them.
I now use pp and bet365...
I like stan james website but they dont guarantee irish racing prices
    so fook them
i had problems with the pp site maybe once in the last year and
when i emailed them about this they gave me a 10 euro free bet.
Unlike some bookies they look after their long term customers

Its from experience, i won a good few bob on the tennis and then they started resticting my bets.

Just opened a bet365 account and gonna deposit a fair whack when my money from PP transfers to my bank. Anyways wondering is there a way to see total potential winnings on the multiple bet options? All i could see was the stake at the bottom and the individual returns for the single bets.

    My comments
Any serious gambler needs at least 2 accounts but more wouldn't be a waste, one of which should be an exchange.
Make sure you get all the bonuses available.
    First port of call is
    www.bestbetting.com
    or
www.oddschecker.com to decide where the best prices are.
    Betting exchanges:
Betfair has 95% of the markets, Betdaq might be lower commission but no liquidity and unless you want to wait days to get matched, avoid.
Bet365 are good but if you start winning, you'll see your account being closed - not exclusive to them.
They are good In Running and have a lot of markets priced up.
Boyles new website is dire, avoid like the plague, prices are standard.
Powers site is good, prices are standard.
Ladbrokes site is okay but prices are poor.
    Hills site and prices poor.
    Betfred site good, prices good.
888 site good, prices sometimes good.
You can get better prices in shops over the Net.
Check out the independents like Floods & Celtic, they are good on special prices in shops, not sure if they have websites though.
