I think Roche would have won it were it not for the bump in the hoarding.
He hesitated there for a split second and then managed to get up into third. His day will come though.

I think there'll be a tear or two watching tomorrows highlights as it passes the front doors of my old appartment and workplace. I also used to cycle along the road to Martigny a fair bit.

he was fined by race officials , had to issue a public apology

HTC colombia made a statement .
(high road sports has taken mark cavendish out of the tour as a result of his inappropriate actions after winning stage two of the race on thursday ) .
