    Hey Guys,

This is a list of vinyls that I am currently trying to sell.

Can any of you guys tell me if any of these are worth more than say 5 euro?

Otherwise I'm trying to sell them all together for 300 euro.

    Let me know.

It would help if you put the catalogue numbers up. Some may be re-pressings. Original first issues are generally worth more. Also you should mention the condition they're in.

Am in the same boat in that I am realising that my vinyl collection will be of no interest to members of my family in time to come so I have been down sizing - sold some through Car boot sale - got €35 for a bundle and gave others away!

If you manage to get a €5 for each would be interesting to know where!

I did sell a 3 LP Box set of AC/DC on eBay - got a €10 and that was the listing price, only one person interested.

That Pink Flloyd album might be worth something as its double album and its a fairly famous album cover while Transformer and Desire might be worth something too. Not sure you would get £300 for whole lot though.

Good luck getting e300 for all of that, even if they're in decent nick.

You'd probably get rid of the Pink Floyd and Lou Reed stuff, I very much doubt there's much demand for the Elton John / Genesis stuff... At the end of the day most of what you have there is stuff that sold extremely well (meaning you are extremely likely to run into it all in charity shops / carboot sales) and is readily available on superior quality remastered 180g virgin vinyl anyway, and the stuff that hasn't been repressed probably hasn't been repressed due to a lack of demand.

I'd do what Papa Smut suggest and check the catalogue numbers and check the prices on Discogs.com, crossreferencing them with the standard record collector condition guide (M/NM/VG+ etc etc) and then just make a discogs.com account, list everything for a euro below the going the going rate and see how you get on flogging them off through there, if you're still stuck with them after two months shut down the account and bring the records to a second hand shop like Spindizzy in George's Street Arcade or else drop them down to your local Oxfam / Age Action / Charity emporium of your choice.
