Walking down there this morning theres about 20 bags , 2 shopping trollies , an empty keg neatly stacked for pickup.
Doubt this could be the council as it was done over the weekend, so well done whoever was involved and if I had known I would have been there.

That area has some potential but would need to be cleaned up constantly due to the area its in.

It was organised by Transition Town Tramore as part of An Taisce's National Spring Clean.

There were about 20 people involved, including a few who were passing by and who joined in to help.

    Big thanks to all involved.

Whatever about rubbish been dumped on public land in the area of the lake/new park, something needs to be done about the rubbish on the privately-owned land adjoining this area. There's rubber tyres and God only knows what else being dumped in the highly-visible grounds of the old Hydro and the old Celtworld site. Have you seen the state of the area between the CIÉ bus depot and the Railway station? This is where the Tourist Office used to be and today presents a disgusting vista to any tourists that may be looking for that Tourist Office. Locals might be so used to it that they can just ignore it but holiday-makers will forever associate first-impressions of Tramore with RUBBISH.
