    Hi all,

well my recently NCT qualified nissan almeras woes continue.

    my list includes the following:
CD player that chews up CD's
    Squeeky back brakes
dodgy passenger window that works sometimes
airbag warning light that came on when i shut the glovebox
now no radio as the aerial snapped off in my hand :(

Was adjusting the aerial the other day and it snapped off completely!

its one of the standard almera ones, a long screw in black plastic aerial, problem is that its the actual hinge attachment that has snapped off the base, so now the base unit is buggered and im wondering
    A. Where can i get a replacement and
    B. how do i go about replacing it - is it a couple of hours in the driveway or will i need to get the professionals in??

    Hey

CD player that chews up CD's - I say have to buy a new CD player or just listen to the radio
Squeeky back brakes - Check your brake pads are may be worn
dodgy passenger window that works sometimes -
You'd have to take of the door panel and find out if the motor is getting 12volts when you press the switch. If it is getting voltage, the motor is bad and needs replacing. If not getting voltage, you have to find the break in the wire. It shoould not be the fuse as only one fuse should control all accessories.
airbag warning light that came on when i shut the glovebox - Not sure but came across this "try this and promise to put a pound in the next cancer box you pass,
ignition on till airbag light goes off briefly (approx 7 seconds) immediately after airbag light goes out, turn ignition off for 3 seconds ie 0-1-2-3 or 1-2-3-4 then turn ignition back on, do this three times, after doing this, turn the ignition on for 1 second, and immediately turn ignition off, then back on again and start the car, this resets the air bag memory that nobody wants to tell you about how to fix, enjoy the rest of the 69 pound i have saved you, HONESTWELSH" from http://www.howtomendit.com/answers.php?id=156991

now no radio as the aerial snapped off in my hand :( - Radio should still work with no aerial as mine snapped on in a car wash and still had signal to listen to the radio.

Was adjusting the aerial the other day and it snapped off completely!

its one of the standard almera ones, a long screw in black plastic aerial, problem is that its the actual hinge attachment that has snapped off the base, so now the base unit is buggered and im wondering

Buy http://www.amazon.co.uk/Universal-roof-antenna-16-V/dp/B0000WSDGG/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1272308273&sr=1-15 and try fitting yourself or get a quote from your local garage and replcing it should be queit cheap.

Sorry not much help but only the Airbag should be a problem in the NCT

    Cheers :)

Unclipped the light fixture yesterday and can see the screw that holds the aerial onto the roof so reckon i can fix that.
