non tax returns

    I am in court for not doing tax returns for 2006. I do not owe anything for this year just cant do them for reasons.
    Does anyone know what is the penently for this???

    You need to do your tax returns. The penalties will be severe.

    The revenue will raise an estimate on what they believe you owe and persue you for this. There will be a surcharge for a late return of 10% of the tax together with interest of 12% pa approx.

    Do not be surprised if you are not audited as it is sure to be a return that will be looked at.

    Why can you not submit your tax return?
