So my Maxxis rear Ignitor was very very bald, slick as they say in the roadie trade, and when i went to get new wrapping for the rim, they had none in stock,
So i went against what i love and abuse best and went with the conti tube and 2.3 verticals.
3 tubes later and id never buy cuntinentals again,
Leaking pox valves and just crap allround tube, the slighest sight of tree root released air. i was running softer than a 95 year old man on Christmas Day
don't get me started on the tires. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! arrrrgh
the tire wall split badly on a Nivea for men soft landing. and im not a heavy guy
never, never, never never, never again
anyone else with the same problems???
stick to making tires for HGVs continental and leave our beloved bikes alone

I use continental tyres and tubes and there probably the best tyre i have ever used. I have a pair of continental GP 4000 on my training wheels but about 5000km into them and still loads of rubber on them and no punctures.

Same here , swear by Continental gatorskin tyres and use their tubes as well . Mockler may have just got a bad batch of tubes , happened to me before with 3 successive Michelin tubes I had purchased in a LBS , successive failures at the seam close to the valve on all 3 . Went back , got 3 replacement Continentals and no issues . Have stayed with Continentals since .........

I only buy Continental. Maybe it's just off-road tyres but the road ones are fantastic.

I use a really cheap set of Continental sport road tyres and they have been fine for over a year now, plenty of rubber left after well over 5000km.

As long as you have any tube running soft its always eventually gonna pinch against the rim...go tubeless...

the tube was hard going out on the ride, as my post states,
with every bump hop and a skip it was leaking valve time;)
