Saw this ad on pistonheads.... and im tempted (by the car, not the ex wife) ;)

    http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1652704.htm

Ex husband's car up for sale

He lavished more love, care and affection on this immaculate 166 3.0 V6 Super (manual) than on me. Had there been a fire, he would have saved the Alfa before the children.

Now selling for a mere £2,700 (considering the amount of money spent on it, and the condition of the car, which looks better than me). Registration 2000, 80,000 miles, full service history, a folder neatly packed with bills from approved Alfa garages, and a bespoke front suspension. Weekly washes at the special place where four men would massage dust away with chamois made from baby refugees' skin.

The car was over £30,000 when young, and had more work done than Cher.

Cambelt changed, twice, last time at 65,000 miles. Clutch replaced. Airflow meter replaced this month.

Extras (Factory options): 17in alloys, CD multichanger and factory-fitted 10 extra speakers. Load-restraint nets and chrome door handles. Creamy beige leather interior.

Tuning house extras: Novitec front spoiler. Rear apron and sides, Alfa's own accessories. Carbon intake with sport filter. Discs: all four, cross-drilled and ventilated. Sports exhaust. Novitec rear twin-pipe tail box. Brake discs are Brembo cross-drilled but the callipers are Alfa's standard.

Mechanicals: front suspension lower and uprated. Top and lower wishbones, coilover suspension kit by Autodelta (London). New clutch at 43,000 miles in 2006.
There is a small dent on the offside rear door.
Remapped engine. Never broken down, and mechanically very sound indeed.

New tyres at the back, plenty of life in the ones at the front.

The rear door panel replaced and painted. There is a slight difference in nuance between the panel and the rest of the car, if you are looking for it and it's a bright day.

Now have new car, and hopefully will get new husband.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

It's a hoax. Wimmens don't know those things about cars. BTW, Angie's real name is Paul :D

Nice 166 anyway. Some car for the money.

You sure it's not a joke, who in their right mind would pay €3000 for a '00 Alfa :p

I've put in the bits in bold that a angry wife would never say.

go with the new car stands at auto shows.... drape yourself over the car in a bikini .....
i am sure there will be relationship between size of bikini and page views
    :D:D

IMO silly/fake ads like that get a lot of views but, most are viewing out of curiousity and not becuae they want to buy....

ya, i will stick to a normal add.
i am usually the type to give out about bikini clad women draped over cars.... like they could scratch the paint work!!
i cant see myself going down that road somehow....

still though its funny to see adds like that on piston heads and the likes!
