    hello - i plan to visit america in late summer.
    It is first time for me in west coast and I plan to surf maybe around san diego.
    Has any of you being to west coast - are there particular area I should look for?

    Around the Pacific Beach area in San Diego is where there's normally surf. It's a good area to be based as there's good nightlife around there too. Other than that just get in a car and drive up the coast to LA. Surf spots a plenty! Check out Trestles too, ASP world tour stops off there in September.
