Well what a weekend that was. And it was supposed to be a banker for tipping :o

Another good win for the Pies, very happy with how the seasons gone so far, although I'd worry that we're still carrying the likes of Leigh Brown.

Unbelievable performance by Melbourne as well, great to see their kids really stepping up and playing some fearless footy.

Hawks look done, didn't see the game but I don't see this squad getting back to the heights of 2008. Their gameplan has been found out and it seems they don't really have a plan B.

I reckon tomorrow will be a decent game as well, Carlton generally seem tolift themselves for the big games.

The teams seem a lot more even this year, Melbourne and Freo have improved, while Geelong and the Saints (minus Riewoldt) dont look as far ahead of everyone as last year.

Still fairly surprised by North beating Hawthorn, I thought the Hawks would be a contender again this year but that looks very unlikely at the moment.

That was some bloody victory for Carlton against the Cats!

Anyone know when Tommy Walsh might be getting a run out with the Saints?

Yeah a great win for Carlton, it'll be interesting to see if they can back it up now over the next few weeks as they're notoriously inconsistent. Judd being back makes a huge difference.

Walsh played his best game since he went over for St Kilda's reserves at the weekend. By all accounts he's still learning the game i.e. positioning and reading the play and it generally takes longer for players playing the role he has being ear-marked for i.e. full-forward or full back to pick up the game in comparison to Kennelly/Clarke type players. Considering St Kilda are one of the top teams I reckon it'll be next year before he debuts, however he's making decent progress.

A weekend of upsets, interesting what it does to the ladder though.
Another win for the Dockers :) Got a little worried after the first quarter, but Richmond weren't able to sustain the pace.

    Eagles got bet, again :D

Carlton were brilliant yesterday against the Cats. As were Collingwood against Essendon, I think they'll be contenders for the final this year.
