No SIM card installed iphone 3gs 16gb

    Hi Guys and girls

    Very very disappointed have my iphone since yesterday and this morning after one call no sim card installed came up on phone and cant get it working since...iv tried everything:

    Another persons sim still the same, my sim is an updated one also
    and works in other phones no problem
    reset settings several times
    powered off and on several times
    held down power button and menu key to reset several times...

    so annoyed what else could be wrong?
    do i have to bring it back and be without it for a week now!!!!! grrrr:mad:

    Any advice appreciated

    Try do a restore through iTunes. If it doesn't work bring it back

    You need an O2 or Vodafone sim, depending on where the iphone came from. Then it's just a matter of plugging it into itunes to activate.

    Back to the shop, and get a replacement. Shouldnt be any problem, 24 hours and all!
