Getting a new kitchen and have ordered a gas hob originally had electric. House has gas heating and gas fire so i presumed there would be a pipe there for a cooker or hob but pulled out cooker and checked behind and underneath couple of presses as best i could but can't seem to fine it. Would it be behind one of the presses and is there any easier way than pulling them all out to try to locate it. Or perhaps there isn't one which i find hard to believe...Any help would be appreciated..

it would be obvious where it is.... Can you not knock into a neighbour and ask where there's is and match that against yours...

Not so obvious Joey, I live in a detached bungalow of which there are only 11. These were built by 4 different builders. I did knock into a neighbour who had the same builder but they have electric. Another has theirs behind where my cooker is presently which I have already checked. I was wondering is it behind the plaster boards somewhere.......Maybe I'll just have to wait until the kitchen is pulled out

If you're getting a new kitchen ,ask them if they have a gas installer working with them.
Then if it needs to be installed ,it can be done with the kitchen.

It might work out expensive though ,but at least you have a choice if the kitchen company have their own installer.
