What new string to put on

    I am a novice, The G string broke and I bought a new set of strings, 3 plastic 3 steel type ones came in the pack,
    The first 3 strings EBG are the steel ones and the DAE are the plastic ones on my guitar.
    so when I oenped the pack and read the back of the pack, the G string is plastic going by the back of the pack, but should it not be a steel one, G= 040-102 which is palstic.
    The guitar ws already stringed so not sure what to do,
    can I put any of the silverplated as tune in to a G ?

    Usual string arrangement on nylon strung guitars with light to medium guage strings in standard EADGBE tuning is

    1st string (highest tone) E nylon
    2nd string B nylon
    3rd string G nylon
    4th string D metal wound
    5th string A metal wound
    6th string (lowest tone) E metal wound
