Could anyone point out some good websites or information pertaining to courses that may be of benefit to him

Unfortunately my cousin is extremly slow when it comes to maths.
He is currently finishing a FETAC course in chemistry and struggles with it greatly!

But he has ambitions to study chemistry at 3rd level, however I know that it's a pointless pursuit, unless he resolves his math issues.

Now I'm quite good at math but I simply don't have the time and information to help the guy out!!

Can he repeat a single subject in maths through an adult course?

What websites best demonstrate how to conceptualise math and explain it easily? Any help would be much obliged.

Here are the best things I've come across, I'll leave my comment on them and I really hope you'll check for yourself to be sure they will work for him.

    1: www.khanacademy.org

These videos are absolutely brilliant, the way the guy explains math is just so intuitive, he starts from the very basics and works his way up.

I don't know about your cousin though, you'd want to check these out. He also offers exercises online. It is a great site and is used in many areas in developing countries as a sole method of learning math!

    2: http://www.learner.org/resources/series61.html?pop=yes&pid=793#

    "The World of Chemistry"

I've only watched one and it was fine, the rest could be good idk.

    "Algebra: In It's simplest Terms"

From the same site, in fact this site has a lot of great stuff: http://www.learner.org/resources/browse.html

    4: http://www.thinkwell.com/

The videos by this guy are probably my favourite. Ed Burger is his name and you can preview them at this site: http://www.5min.com/Thinkwell (nearly all of them are here!).

You'd have to pay but if you can I'd advise it as he explains math so well. Check the thinkwell site for the names of the lectures in like Algebra I or whatever to see what he's like. The chemistry here isn't good unfortunately, but the math!

This guy does a lot of chemistry stuff in video form and has his own site with pfd files explaining the stuf + questions. He also offers solutions etc.. on his site, check it out to be sure. http://www.markrosengarten.com/index.html

If you have any trouble checking any of this stuf out let me know.
