Anyone hitting these at present? Have not tried them out myself yet but was thinking strongly bout one.......I have a Taylor made R5 in the bag at present but it's launching way too high and just dropping out of the sky.......Have this week gone back to my 10 year old Titleist 975 F ...Hitting it very well even though it requires that little bit more concentration etc etc....Ball flight is much better with some roll out too.

So was thinking about the 909 F3.....surely technology has come along way in 10 years and cant help feeling that the new F3 would be just that little bit more forgiving than the 975 F???? Any thoughts???

This from the same guy that was thinking bout ditching the 3 wood for a rescue.......tut tut....glad I didnt now.

Im hitting the 909 f3 13˚. Its only in the bag a month so not hit too many shots. Lovely looking club. Nice solid metallic ping off the face.

Ive got the stiff voodoo shaft in it, same as my driver but this feels stiffer. Probably because the head is smaller & lighter. Thats my only gripe with it.

Its a club Im hoping to demo myself in the near future. Im after a new 3wood to replace a Sonartec SS03. I did try the new cobra S2 at a demo day recently and had a trade in deal on my current club but I just didnt like the S2 enough to part with it.
Do you mind me asking if you have tried any other 3 woods or is your heart set on the Titleist?

    Thanks for that Tom.......

I was fitted last year in Carton House for a 909 D3 driver as I was told up there that I was hitting the D2 too high etc with very little roll out.....hence me swaying towards the F3 fairway metal......although having said that I had an F2 in my hands yesteday and it looked/felt lovely......Waiting to demo this now....but wonder if the flight of the F2 might be "too" high?????

I was always a Titlelst man so dont know how the Taylormade R5 got in my bag.....I even demoed the R9 fairway......didnt like it.

Just wondering how the driver fitting worked out for you. Did it make a big difference? If so, why not go back and get fitted for the 3 wood?

I'm thinking of doing it myself but I'm not sure if it's worth the outlay as I'm not hitting my current driver (d2) too badly.

I got fitted for AP 2 irons with Henry in Carton House.....Excellent irons....

He tried different driver models with me then and we settled on the 909D3...The combination of this head and Graphite Design Tour AD shaft brought my spin rate and launch angle down and resulted in 15 yards extra.

I was actually thinking of going back for a 3 wood fitting.

I have the 909 Fairway in reg shaft, even though my D3 driver has the voodoo stiff shaft and I'm hitting that well. I like hitting my fairway softer, and the reg shaft is perfect. Great club, as is the rescue wood as well.
