Macbook superdrive not working

    My macbook's optical drive seems to be acting up. Only noticed it for the first time yesterday, although I haven't put a disk in there in a few months probably. I tried putting a game in and I get a few different results. Sometimes it spits it back out immediately, other times it doesn't register that there's a disk in the computer and seems to just get stuck spinning and I have to restart to get the disk out or sometimes it will seem to work but when I try to install the game, I get errors at different stages. i.e installation fails at different points at different times.

    I have tried other games and CDs with mixed success, some work sometimes and some don't at all. I couldn't find too much on google. I have gone to disk utility and verified/repaired disk permissions. Kinda running out of ideas other than it's just broken? Any help appreciated!

    Sounds like a hardware fault , If you drop it in to me , I can run an apple diag on it. It will show any hardware failures in the macbook. Company is Evad IT Solutions. We are on the quays.Unit H, Ushers Island. We are an Apple authorized repair center
